Hats off to 11-year old Corey Briskin of Westport, CT for his amazing contribution to the Night of Wonder gala/auction coming in March, 2001! Corey was listening to his mom and co-chair Maura Irzyk Craig talking, during a Fire Island vacation the two families were having, about all the hard work the committee is doing to get items for the live and silent auction.

He then started asking about what the Progeria Research Foundation is and about the children afflicted with Progeria. Then without the women knowing it, Corey proceeded to go downtown, asking several shop owners for donations for the auction and explaining to them what the auction was for. He got a terrific response! Donated were:

$50.00 Valerie Graham Essentials "Relaxation/Aromatherapy Basket

And his mom Deborah Briskin got into the spirit as well, donating a $250.00 Merrill Lynch Financial Planning Package.

It's always so nice to see other children wanting to help children with Progeria.
