May 2008 - Brownstown, MI: Wild and Crazy KidsAfter being approached by middle school students Ashley, Mara, Jasmine, and Brianna about a fundraiser to benefit kids with Progeria, Heather Setlock, 6th Grade Counselor at Brownstown Middle School worked with the girls to come up with a fun idea – a “Crazy Hair Day”. Participating students paid $1 to style and color their hair anyway they wanted for one day. The event was a huge success raising over $140 in just one day! Thanks for the crazy ideas! |
April 2008 –Wildomar, CA: Counting CoinsA friend of PRF’s California Chapter, fifth-grader Devin decided she had to do something to help. She took one of our Coins to Cure Progeria© cans to school, and raised $100 for PRF. A true example of how people of all ages can use the collection cans to help make a difference!

March 2008 - Foxboro, MA: Shopping For A CauseFor the second year in a row, Deb Michienzie and her team of volunteers were successful at their annual Shop Around fundraiser, raising $8,000 to benefit PRF. The fun-filled night was everything a party should be – good food, great shopping, and great company. Party-goers sampled tasty treats, and browsed several vendor booths all for PRF! Thank you, Deb, for all your hard work and dedication to PRF’s mission.
