The Progeria Research Foundation has joined forces with members of the Boston Bruins, creating Public Service Announcements (PSA’s) featuring players from Central and Eastern Europe, and Canada.

Recorded in both English and their native languages, the PSA’s are being distributed in the Czech Republic, Finland, Serbia, Slovakia and Canada, as well as to US outlets with ties to those countries.

Players participating in this campaign include Zdeno Chara from Slovakia; David Krejci from the Czech Republic; Milan Lucic from Serbia and Canada; and Tuukka Rask from Finland.

Bruins Captain Zdeno Chara and Sam. Chara recorded PSAs in both English and Slovakian that are now airing in Slovakia. We hope this will raise awareness of Progeria, and families and physicians of children in that area will reach out to PRF for help.

Bruins Captain Zdeno Chara, from Slovakia

Bruins Center David Krejci, from the Czech Republic

Bruins Forward Milan Lucic, from Serbia и Canada

Bruins Goalie Tuukka Rask, from Finland

The “Find the Other 150″(now Find the Children) campaign has been remarkably successful in the countries where PRF has been able to penetrate, with a 48% increase in the number of children identified over the past 20 months. However, central and eastern Europe remain a challenge. Partnering with Bruins players from these countries gives PRF the unique opportunity to raise awareness about Progeria, and find more children to help.

To the Boston Bruins organization and players:
You’re not only the 2011 Stanley Cup Champions,
but also champions for children with Progeria.

Thank you for your support!
